My contents Page

For my contents page i decided to keep to the cour scheme of black and white as they both work well and it is easy for the reader to read the text. The two contasing colours are also complemted by a simple text which again the reader can see and read the text from.

From the front cover page i have used a diffrent image which i took from a dslr camera and inputted into photoshop and edited it by removing the background drop which was behind me when i had the photograph taken. With the removal of the grey background on the image the background then changed to white which merges with the magazine colour scheme making the page look alot more profesinal.

The reason which i decided to choose big numbers is so that readers can see the article they want to read about and then  be able to quickly go to that page, also there is a brief description on the contents of the article.

Using a black background for the text's background makes the text easier for the reader to see and stands out again giving it a professinol look.

The layout which i decided to go with was basic but effective, i made sure i used all the space on the page so there was no big spaces.

For my masthead i stuck to the colur scheme of black and white and used the same text which i have used through my magazine, andres heavy sf.

The colour scheme which i used for my magazine is a basic colour scheme but with good contrasting colours. The reason why i chose the white background is because it is a good bold colour which other colours can be used and look effective, also in my research in other magazines white was a common colour so that is also why i decided to use it.

The font which i used in my magazine was andres heavy sf i used this as it is an easy to read text and bold text so readers of the magazine can clearly see the text, also keeping the font to black to contrast the white background.

The layout for my magazine i decided to use a symetrical postioning of text and images by the side of my head on the left handside and on the rigthandside so the space was well filled and gives the reader to look at across the page instead of all the text and image being compacted into one space confusing the reader.

The images which i used in my front cover relate to what is within the contents of the magazine, i searched for the best and most fitting image for what the magazine will talk about. For example my magazine will be reviewing the best film and games of the year so i selected 1 big game of the year and 1 big film of the year to attract the customer as theese are a popular images which a customer will know about. Also using the company asos as part of the competition being held in the magazine this will again attract the customer as it is a well known retailler and therefore customers will see this and buy the magazine.

For the main article in this magazine which is on the front page the text which i used was diffrent to the rest of the magazine as this is to make this paticular article the main selling point. Also i used a background and the text brought forward over it to make the text stand out.

The picture which i have used in the top left of this picture is a suitable image because you can clearly see my face and my torso, to maker the iamge even better i will crop the photo up to my chest so i can used it as mid shot on my magazine front cover.

The second image is also suitable image to use because it is a midshot with a simple background you are not distracted by anything else and have focus on jess's face.

The picture in the far right corner is not a suitable image because we cannot see the persons face and they are turning to the side so we cant use this image. Also the background of this image isnt suitable as it isnt plain we can see a leaflet in the background which means we cant focus on the persons face we are supposed to look at.

The next unsuitable image is the one below the top left image, this image is unsuitable because it is not suitable for a front cover image as it is not a mid shot to start off with and there is nothing for the reader to focus on.
